Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience substituting for education requirements.
  • Seven years of experience as a Software Product Manager, Product Owner, or other related and applicable experience.
  • A professional product certification, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner or Pragmatic Marketing.
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Understanding product problems and selecting strategies to achieve business outcomes.
  • Expertise in product discovery techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize based on business goals, market demand, and user needs.
  • Ability to assess product health and use data to inform prioritization, product quality, service levels, goals, and success metrics.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for exploring and understanding customer needs.
  • Occasional travel of up to 20%, including attendance at designated company summits.
Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders, end-users, engineers, UX designers, and product leaders to understand problems, inform product vision, and define requirements.
  • Work with multiple teams to create shared outcomes and deliver customer impact.
  • Define product release strategies and ensure business-partner readiness.
  • Become the expert on the product platform, including success metrics, product health, leading and lagging indicators, enterprise data, and roadmap gaps.
  • Create, manage, and regularly present a strategic roadmap to stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Manage expectations by identifying at-risk initiatives and proactively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Participate in and present during planning activities.
  • Gather product-capability feedback through interviews, focus groups, surveys, UX usability sessions, online communities, and internal technology teams.
  • Participate in and sometimes lead the request for information and request for proposal vendor-selection process.
  • Test software features against acceptance criteria and coordinate user-acceptance testing.
  • Build mentorship relationships and guide less senior Product Managers.
  • Use researcher and analyst data to guide outcome selection and prioritization.
  • Provide strategic direction to less senior product managers leading delivery on Scrum teams.
  • Act as Product Lead on one or more projects.
  • Communicate the product's impact on the platform and overall business.
  • Make priority decisions reflecting business goals, market demand, and user needs.
  • Evaluate trade-off decisions to maximize value for users.
  • Articulate product strategy and explain focus areas and deprioritized areas.
  • Craft business cases, return-on-investment analyses, epics, and stories, and manage prioritization across projects and programs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
