  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a referral or specialist veterinary hospital, or 5 years of experience in a general practice setting, is required.
  • Strong technical abilities in venipuncture, catheterisation, anaesthetic monitoring, and inpatient care are required.
  • Experience in neurology, internal medicine, or oncology is highly regarded.
  • The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team across departments in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care across neurology, internal medicine, and oncology.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures, treatments, anaesthesia, and surgical cases while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Manage patient admissions, monitoring, and discharges.
  • Collaborate with specialists, clinicians, and other nursing staff to provide multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning and follow-up care.
  • Educate and support pet owners throughout their pets’ treatment journeys.
  • Mentor and teach Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students in their clinical learning.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of the referral departments.
