Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a Federal Sr./Pre-Sales Systems Engineer
  • 3-5+ years in a management role
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization and storage markets
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in the territory
  • Act as a floating Systems Engineer to fill in for team members during resource conflicts or vacation coverage
  • Take ownership of channel enablement to ensure ongoing support and collaboration with partners
  • Support the field SE team by assisting with complex evaluations, troubleshooting, and challenging customer environments
  • Recruit and hire new Systems Engineers and managers for the territory, providing mentorship and training to them once onboard
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports, 2x2 meetings with sales counterparts, and handle expense management, quarterly check-ins, and escalation conversations
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues that arise during pre-sales and post-sales in the territory
  • Foster relationships with channel partners and their technical teams
  • Clearly communicate the value of Nutanix while understanding and respecting the unique needs and responsibilities of the Federal Sector
  • Stay up-to-date on the changing environment within the Federal sector and leverage simplicity, cloud-first strategies, and cost savings to build positive relationships and drive sales success
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time within the region
