Requirements
  • Personable, approachable, and strong ability to collaborate with peers
  • Attention to detail, associates must be able to find and extract merchandise from storage areas and shelves and follow member specific tasks
  • Physical strength and stamina, since associates may be required to move objects or goods from one place to another and also operate necessary and required machinery efficiently. (Don't know how Don't worry we will show you!)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and the location managers
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory a plus
  • Willingness to learn new technology
  • Retail and warehouse experience a plus
Responsibilities
  • Engage with Saltbox Members, help problem solve, and provide them with logistical support receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Monitor delivery dock and welcome delivery trucks
  • Process, package, and ship orders accurately and efficiently
  • Track and document shipment arrival and departure times
  • Ensure that the building is fully operational and things are running efficiently in the warehouse, kitchen, and office space.

Saltbox provides small, private warehouses (500–2,000 square feet) plus coworking spaces with private offices and meeting rooms. It targets builders of physical goods such as makers, artists, and entrepreneurs who need storage and operations space in one place. The product combines private warehousing with shared work areas, letting users store inventory, meet with teammates, and host clients without separate offices or leases. The goal is to help physical goods businesses grow by offering flexible, dedicated spaces designed for hands-on makers.
