Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers or patients, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A favorable result on a background check as required by the state.
  • Proof of identity and the right to work in the United States.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends, schedule changes, or an extended schedule.
  • Ability to perform frequent walking, sitting, and standing; regular bending, stooping, and reaching; and lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of the hands, including constant grasping, writing or typing, and use of technology.
  • Visual and auditory acuity, including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to drive or climb occasionally as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Execute the Total Patient Experience by building relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
  • Operate manual lensometers, auto-lensometers, autorefractors or keratometers, retinal cameras, visual field equipment, GDX, or OCT.
  • Follow scripting for testing equipment, including photos, visual fields, and visual acuity.
  • Clean examination equipment, including the tonometer tip.
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning assigned by the manager.
  • Create a positive work environment by working in a team-oriented and patient-focused manner.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous medical office experience.
  • Previous ophthalmic experience.
