Southwest Airlines has filed a complaint against the City of San Antonio, alleging that the city had pre-determined the terminal allocation of its new facilities that the city is building at its airport, leaving the airline at Terminal A, which is "functionally obsolete" and "undersized."
(KRON) - Southwest Airlines is cutting more than 100 jobs across four airports in the country, the airline said in a statement to KRON4.
Southwest Airlines Co. is eliminating 120 more jobs at four airports, extending a round of cutbacks that included the carrier's first ever involuntary layoffs.
Worse, Southwest is also introducing its own version of Basic Economy class, the draconian effort by larger airlines to emulate low-fare competitors.
However, as part of its new business strategy, Southwest is introducing a Basic Fare option for its lowest-priced tickets purchased on or after May 28, 2025.
