Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • Candidates must remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

  • Candidates must scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Candidates must work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
  • Observe team members, provide feedback, hold them accountable, and recognize strong guest experience performance.
  • Understand elevated Beauty Studio service standards and partner with store and field leaders to model and maintain expectations.
  • Model and instill guest engagement, task and service balance, loyalty-program promotion, and sales behaviors within the team.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics, identify opportunities, take action to improve results, align the team on execution, celebrate wins, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Understand sales goals and plan and execute daily and weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals, guest engagement, merchandising, pricing, sales-floor display changes, events, and promotions.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, aligned with business priorities set by the direct leader.
  • Lead a team that provides a seamless experience for guests across all Beauty areas.
  • Lead and demonstrate best-practice execution for team onboarding and learning, and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Support the direct leader in developing knowledgeable and passionate Beauty consultants and advisors by staying current on brands, trends, and promotions and holding them accountable to expectations.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions by participating in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Create equitable experiences by valuing diverse voices and approaches and acting authentically and respectfully.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance and hold the team accountable to the same standards.
  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, holding the team accountable to safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the store, including ordering, storage, and application as directed by best practices.
  • Follow safe-and-secure training and processes when acting as a key carrier, if applicable.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts based on store needs.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
