  • Hands-on experience working directly with software engineering, architecture, design, and data teams to make product and technical trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently navigate ambiguity, rapidly learn a new domain, structure complex problems, and move from insight to action.
  • Strong product discovery skills, including problem framing, user or market research, hypothesis development, prototyping, experimentation, and evidence-based prioritization.
  • Experience defining MVPs and thin slices that deliver early value while creating a foundation for scale.
  • Experience owning product outcomes and measurement, including customer value, adoption, performance, operational impact, or commercial results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and create clarity across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage several evolving problem spaces, context switch effectively, and maintain momentum across competing priorities.

  • Frame ambiguous problem spaces into clear hypotheses, product principles, success measures, risks, and prioritized opportunities.
  • Form and defend an evidence-based product point of view while adapting quickly as new information emerges.
  • Define the smallest meaningful MVP or thin slice that can validate value, usability, feasibility, and adoption potential.
  • Partner closely with engineering, architecture, design, data, security, and privacy to shape feasible, API-enabled, reusable, and scalable solutions.
  • Turn discovery insights into clear product requirements, user journeys, technical considerations, experiments, and delivery priorities.
  • Make explicit trade-offs across customer value, speed, quality, risk, technical sustainability, and future extensibility.
  • Own product execution end to end, from initial concept and discovery through build, launch, adoption, and early iteration.
  • Create and maintain an outcome-based roadmap, delivery plan, decision log, backlog, and measurement framework.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through uncertainty, resolve blockers, manage dependencies, and drive timely decisions.
  • Stay close to the work and the customer, using prototypes, experiments, data, and feedback to reduce risk and accelerate learning.
  • Define launch readiness, go-to-market and enablement needs, adoption partners, and post-launch learning plans.
  • Use product performance, customer feedback, and adoption data to determine what to improve, stop, scale, or reuse.
  • Evolve successful proof points into durable platform capabilities that can support multiple journeys, businesses, and markets.
  • Identify opportunities to connect capabilities, reduce duplication, and improve the enterprise product ecosystem.
  • Translate learning into roadmap choices, investment recommendations, and clear scaling decisions.
  • Communicate product direction, decisions, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Build alignment across global and market stakeholders while maintaining accountability for product outcomes and delivery momentum.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively, surface trade-offs early, and create the conditions for fast, high-quality decision-making.
  • Model curiosity, ownership, resilience, and a bias for action across every stage of the product lifecycle.
Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of APIs, event-driven or composable architectures, cloud platforms, analytics, experimentation, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience launching products across multiple business units, markets, customer segments, or regulatory environments.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products or the use of AI to accelerate discovery, delivery, operations, or customer experiences.

Manulife Philippines launches Wealth Guarantee Plus with higher, longer guaranteed returns.

Manulife Philippines launches Wealth Guarantee Plus with higher, longer guaranteed returns. Wealth Guarantee Plus provides guaranteed annual cash payouts for seven years and returns the full premium at maturity. Manulife Philippines, the local arm of leading international financial services Manulife today announced the launch of Wealth Guarantee Plus, a limited-time, single-payment life insurance plan designed to help customers secure predictable income while preserving their capital and maintaining life insurance protection. The plan provides guaranteed annual cash payouts of up to 5%[1] for seven years, returns the full premium at the end of the term, and includes life insurance coverage throughout the 7-year policy period, giving customers greater certainty as they plan for future financial needs. The plan offers higher cash payouts over a longer period compared with earlier versions of Wealth Guarantee. For example, a customer who pays a single premium of PHP 3 million will receive PHP 150,000 annually for seven years, with the full PHP 3 million returned at the end of the seventh year. The plan also provides life insurance coverage equivalent to 125% of the single premium for seven years. The launch reflects a broader shift in how Filipinos think about financial planning and legacy. Manulife's Asia Care Survey 2026 found that 88% of Filipinos believe their own independence and financial freedom is the inheritance they want to leave their families, while nine in 10 aspire to remain self-sufficient for as long as possible. As more Filipinos seek ways to fund their future without relying on others, predictable income and capital-preserving solutions are becoming an increasingly important part of long-term financial planning. "Filipino customers work hard to build their wealth, and they want solutions that offer both certainty and confidence," said Rahul Hora, President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Philippines. "Wealth Guarantee Plus helps meet that need by providing guaranteed annual cash payouts over seven years, full premium return at maturity, and life insurance protection throughout the plan's term. This reflects Manulife's commitment to helping Filipinos protect what they have built, plan with greater confidence, and achieve clear, dependable financial outcomes at every stage of life." With returns guaranteed by the policy and not dependent on market performance, Wealth Guarantee Plus gives customers greater certainty over their income for a defined period. This can help them plan more confidently for key financial goals, from education funding to retirement income and other long-term needs. Wealth Guarantee Plus requires a minimum single premium of PHP 300,000 and is now available through Manulife financial advisors nationwide. 1 The 5% rate applies to single premiums of PHP 3 million and above. A 4.75% rate applies to single premiums below that. Guaranteed payouts and premium return are payable for as long as the insured person is living.

Manulife Asia, Ant Health team up on cross-border healthcare.

Manulife Asia, Ant Health team up on cross-border healthcare. Manulife Asia signed a memorandum of understanding with Ant Health, Ant Group's health business, in Hong Kong on September 7 to explore cross-boundary healthcare support, health management services, and insurance technology for customers in Hong Kong and mainland China. The companies said they will explore case management, concierge support, medical network services, patient services, and cross-boundary claims and payment support. They may later extend the collaboration to other Asian markets. For Manulife, the MOU builds on an existing cross-border setup. Its Hong Kong business expanded a designated mainland China hospital network in 2023, and the insurer also operates in both Hong Kong and mainland China. The move also fits broader Greater Bay Area efforts to support cross-border healthcare integration. Authorities have issued guidance on cross-border personal data transfers that could affect digital claims, payments, and health management services. Recent Manulife developments.
