The Senior Advancement Campaign Manager will lead and coordinate the resource mobilization efforts associated with the CDC Foundation’s capital campaign, driving business development strategy, comprehensive prospect identification, and moves management across the campaign. S/he will be responsible for working with the President and CEO, Advancement leadership, and campaign strategic leads in developing campaign fundraising strategy and implementation. S/he will strengthen cross-departmental coordination to support development and execution of the campaign investments.
Specifically, the Senior Advancement Campaign Manager will devise strategies for the campaign, establish priorities, and oversee the comprehensive list of prospects. S/he will develop targeted cultivation and solicitation plans, ensuring effective engagement with potential donors. And s/he will provide support to both staff and board members, facilitating their efforts in achieving campaign goals.
The Senior Advancement Campaign Manager will report to the Vice President for Advancement. S/he will also work closely with the President and CEO, Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Programs and Innovation Officer, Chief Communications Officer, and the Vice Presidents for NID and ID Programs. S/he will liaise with members of the Advancement team engaged in campaign resource mobilization efforts, as well as other departments as necessary. This is a two-year limited position with an end date of June 30, 2026.
Qualifications and Skills Necessary
- Highly energetic Advancement professional with strong project management skills and a background in business development/fundraising operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to facilitate effective meetings and build consensus.
- Eight (8) + years of business development/fundraising operations experience; a demonstrated leader in his/her field.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems creatively and confidently.
- Executive presence with the ability to portray confidence and trust along with a professional image and demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple, high-intensity activities simultaneously and effectively.
- A demonstrated ability to complete assignments in a timely and effective manner and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent computer and data management skills/proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel required; Salesforce software experience preferred.
- Adherence to the Code of Ethical Principles of the Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate organizational decision making to enable transparent prioritization among potential resource mobilization activities.
- Determine and implement best practices for tracking campaign fundraising efforts, including funds secured, in Salesforce.
- Ensure leadership has access to necessary real time data related to the campaign.
- Coordinate prospect research activities—including relationship mapping—across the campaign.
- Ensure holistic fundraising approaches for all campaign prospects.
- Develop strategic prospect briefings for leadership.
- Coordinate and drive prospect moves management across the campaign.
- Support senior leadership in fundraising outreach, especially anticipating and organizing work for the President & CEO.
- Coordinate the development of necessary campaign collateral.
- Support on proposal and budget development for proposals related to the campaign.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
