  • Design, build, and test critical path subsystems, then integrate them into the next iteration of our pyrolyzer
  • Explore various pathways to solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Provide input during design reviews
  • Work closely with other members of the pyrolysis team to understand system interdependencies
  • Analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions and make design recommendations
  • Accelerate us on our path to carbon removal by helping us identify design optimizations
  • Work collaboratively with a wide network of people and resources - this could (and likely will!) include managing vendor relationships and timelines, working with external analysis consultants, and working with the rest of the pyrolysis team to align development timelines and meet program goals together
Desired Qualifications
  • A familiarity with designing large machinery
  • Experience with solids and/or fluid handling and associated equipment
  • Combustion and/or power-generation know-how
  • Experience mentoring other engineers
  • Knowledge of pyrolysis, gasification or other thermal conversion processes
