Assistant Manager

This is a full-time, year-round position starting as soon as possible.

The Assistant Manager helps builds a strong, engaged team dedicated to creating meaningful connections with every guest. Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient service

• Lead by example, delivering and upholding the Starbucks guest experience

• Follow Starbucks and Pursuit standards, systems, and procedures

• Manage cash handling, daily reporting, and inventory/waste tracking

• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and product quality standards

• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and environmental stewardship standards

• Communicate maintenance needs and support overall store upkeep

• Supervise, coach, and support team performance and development

• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Starbucks Manager

• Support scheduling and achieve labour and revenue targets

• Ensure systems are current and used effectively

• Foster strong communication, team morale, and engagement

• Support training, onboarding, and rollout readiness ​

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous Starbucks experience; Starbucks supervisory or leadership experience an asset

• 2+ years supervisory experience in a high-volume environment

• Mature, dependable, self-motivated, and energetic

• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skills

• Cash handling experience; basic accounting an asset

• Experience with Microsoft Suite, POS systems (e.g., Simphony) an asset

• Able to work on your feet for extended periods

• Handles stress professionally in a fast-paced environment
