The Maximo-Oracle Data Transfer Team fulfills an essential role to bridge the operational work being planned and executed within Plains’ EAM system (Maximo Oil & Gas) and the new ERP System (Oracle Fusion). The role will require understanding of three operating disciplines: work management practices within oil and gas operations (pipelines and facilities); supply chain practices associated with procurement and material management; and financial practices with respect to financial coding and reconciliation.
This is a 12-month temporary work opportunity, offering 40 hours per week during standard business hours, Monday to Friday. Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Operations to generate and ensure data quality of Work Orders and Purchase Requests (PRs) in Maximo EAM.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Management (SCM) for accurate data transfer between systems.
- Supports PR generation in Maximo EAM, ensuring alignment with procurement channels.
- Translates and corrects financial coding for Work Orders in Maximo EAM.
- Works with Finance to ensure correct coding practices and rectify errors.
- Generates PRs in Oracle ERP, ensuring correct PR type and financial coding.
- Tracks procurement progress in Oracle and updates Maximo EAM with key information.
- Manually updates Work Order status in Maximo EAM to match procurement progress.
- Validates receipt of items in Maximo EAM and Oracle ERP.
- Creates and transfers reports for Purchase Orders, Changes, Receipts, and Invoices between Oracle ERP and Maximo EAM.
- Supports Work Order finalization and activity-cost reconciliation in Maximo EAM and Oracle ERP.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in supply chain / procurement practices and financial coding & reconciliation required.
- Relevant oil and gas industry experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Ability to understand and differentiate technical equipment specifications and descriptions.
- Ability to work in a team-based work environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have good technical computer skills and be fully proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.).
- Experience working with enterprise financial and work management systems like Oracle and Maximo highly preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete Plains’ provided training in both Maximo Oil & Gas and Oracle Fusion.
