The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with a love of data and some analytics experience. In this role, you will be focused on developing data pipelines, building reports, and investigating or analyzing data for Opendata. We value end-to-end ownership, which gives you the freedom to determine the correct course of action, do all due diligence, and execute solutions in your own creative way.

What You’ll Do

Investigate data issues coming from stakeholders, both external and internal
Maintain data quality from external sources and internal maintenance sources
Design and develop enhancements to existing and new data pipelines

Requirements

3+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Analytics
3+ years of experience working with SQL
1+ years of experience with Python and Unix scripting
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment using agile development techniques
Experience working with ETL, Automation, and Workflow management tools like Airflow, Informatica, Nifi, Talend, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent

Nice to Have

Life Sciences industry experience
QA Experience (Data-oriented)
Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau
