Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Full professional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current driver's licence and access to a personal car with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive activities of daily living assessments to evaluate an individual's functional abilities and support needs within the home and community, promoting independence.
  • Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and align rehabilitation goals.
  • Recommend equipment, home modifications, and support services based on assessment findings.
  • Identify suitable equipment and service providers, including attending equipment trials when indicated.
  • Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
  • Educate clients and families on adaptive strategies, energy conservation, and safe task performance.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with professional, legal, and ethical standards of practice.
