  • 5+ years of Commercial insurance claims experience required

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the entire claims management process, ensuring efficient and effective handling of client claims
  • Leads a team of experienced Claims staff, driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Works with Claims Manager to ensure Claims staff are developing and growing within their roles and meeting career path goals
  • Leads a team comprised of Claims Manager, Claims Team Lead and Claims staff; ensures manager/team lead provides training toward workflow processes, helps team develop and grow and monitors work with their assigned Critical Path accounts
  • Manages a team of senior consultants assigned to specific accounts to ensure that workflow processes are followed, and are accurate and helpful to the client
  • Mentors team by sharing wins as learning opportunities and applies learnings to future situations that may arise
  • Develops and implements workflow processes for claims intake, advocacy, follow-up, stewardship and escalation for key accounts, including critical path accounts with revenue over $50k/year
  • Meets with staff regularly to touch base on workflows, personal check-in and to gather feedback on advancing client advocacy
  • Meets monthly with entire staff to share updates on current issues and departmental plans; shares team successes and encourages personal connections
  • Aligns departmental goals with HUB NOW’s vision of growth while expanding client services
  • Establishes succession plans and mentorship opportunities to cultivate career path for team members and cultivate future leaders
  • Reviews all E&O claims made against HUB NOW; reviews all coverages and works toward solutions to have the carrier cover the claim; includes semi-annual training with corporate E&O counsel for all HUB NOW staff
  • Reviews all claims that need escalation to the carrier beyond the adjuster/manager’s level; reaches out to appropriate person at carrier to escalate
  • Completes quarterly refresher training for all HUB NOW staff to review claim processes and discuss any questions or opportunities for changes to help our client’s more effectively
  • Provides quarterly updates to the HUB NOW EMT, to include claim success stories and amount won for clients, that otherwise would not have been paid by the carrier
  • Prepares and updates regularly the HUB NOW Claims Sell Sheet, outlining amounts won for clients for the year, client meetings/reviews/stewardship, turnaround times and outline of all areas where HUB NOW claims assist clients
  • Completes monthly reports to HUB corporate Claims department for their inclusion in overall HUB International claim success
  • Maintains relationships with all 3C carrier partners, including escalation chain of command at the carrier to ensure the escalation of the claim reaches the right person
  • Maintains positive relationships with all business segment leaders within HUB NOW
  • Works with Critical Path accounts including more complex, higher revenue and designated larger clients, as main point of contact
  • Expands upon technical insurance knowledge of agency employees through formal and informal education and training
