Requirements
  • Master’s degree or higher - ​substantial relevant occupational experience (~12 or more years) may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • At least six (6) years relevant experience
  • The demonstrated professionalism, maturity, sound judgement, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for daily interactions with executive-level audiences in a dynamic, high-visibility Front Office environment
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting as circumstances dictate
  • Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills
  • Relevant experience providing presentation support to senior management in a research and development organization
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word applications
Responsibilities
  • Preparing briefing/reports that communicate scientific and technical knowledge in succinct visual / written deliverables; working with technical personnel to quickly understand technical concepts and preparing presentation material that accurately and clearly conveys these concepts
  • Assisting office leadership in developing and implementing office strategy and thrust areas; supporting the development of the annual office strategy and preparation of the strategy briefing
  • Developing briefings that communicate R&D opportunities in the mission office’s core competency areas; developing materials that describe new start concepts
  • Developing briefings for senior Health and Human Services (HHS) personnel and stakeholders about ARPA-H’s efforts and how they support overall HHS mission objectives
  • Drafting, refining, routing, and submitting briefs and other strategic communication products
  • Interpreting ideas and analyzing complex topics; communicating technical ideas via clear and concise statements for a wide range of audiences; including visual aids that help explain complicated technical approaches to nonexperts
  • Creating, compiling, and editing computer-generated documentation including technical text and graphics
  • Developing and maintaining a strong, positive rapport with senior leadership, team members (Gov and contractor personnel), and the public
