Epiroc's sustainability work earns Gold Medal again from EcoVadis. Epiroc AB has for the second year in a row been awarded a Gold Medal by global sustainability ratings firm EcoVadis. Epiroc's sustainability work ranked among the top 2% of companies assessed. The rating reflects Epiroc's commitment to sustainability including its ambitious 2030 goals. EcoVadis evaluated more than 175 000 companies across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. "Being recognised by EcoVadis is a testament to our commitment to sustainability," says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc's President and CEO. "Sustainability is at the core of our strategy and a driving force behind our innovation agenda. Together with our customers, we are advancing solutions that support both productivity and sustainability." Epiroc's rating underscores a strong performance across the four key areas. The company demonstrates leadership in environmental sustainability by continuously working on its ambitious climate targets, improving resource productivity, and advancing circularity across its operations and offerings. One current example is Epiroc's on-going ramp-up of the recycling of carbide used in drill bits. In the area of labour and human rights, Epiroc is committed to providing safe, fair and inclusive workplaces. Ethical governance is rooted in a strong culture of integrity and supported by robust compliance practices. Epiroc's sustainable procurement efforts are anchored in strong supplier partnerships and a commitment to responsible sourcing across the value chain. Epiroc's sustainability goals for 2030 include, among other things, to halve CO2e emissions. Commodities. Companies. MMG Limited (HKG: 1208) has ordered a new fleet of Epiroc (STO: EPI-A) machinery to support the expansion of its Khoemacau copper mine in northwest Botswana. The package includes the Boomer M20 S face drilling rig, Simba E70 S ITH production drilling rig, Cabletec M10 S cable bolting rig, Scooptram ST18 S loader and Minetruck MT65 S. The entire fleet is part of Epiroc's Smart series, equipped with automation and remote control capabilities. "We are proud to be a trusted partner to Chinese mining companies as they expand and operate internationally," said Helena Hedblom, Eprioc's CEO and president. Deliveries will begin in Q4 of 2026 and are expected to be compiled by Q2 of 2028. Epiroc says the equipment order is valued at about SEK 610 million (C$88.44 million). It was booked in Q3 of 2026. In addition to the machinery, Eprioc will also provide spare parts, tools and on-site service. Xia Weiquan, MMG's president of African operations, added, "With partners like Epiroc, MMG will also continue to build a local talent pipeline with skilled mining professionals and a sustainable future for Botswana." MMG's Khoemacau copper mine is located in the Kalahari copper-belt, one of southern Africa's highest-potential regions. The site's Zone 5 underground mine and Boseto processing plant have an annual copper concentrate production of 43,000 to 53,000 tonnes with the potential to achieve up to 60,000 tonnes, according to MMG. Epiroc expands aftermarket offering in South Africa. Posted on 4 Aug 2026 Epiroc AB has completed the acquisition of the business of Eventspec Proprietary Limited, a South African mining aftermarket solutions provider. The company manufactures parts for drill rigs, mine trucks and loaders, and provides related rebuilds, repairs and services. Eventspec is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The company, with more than two decades of industry experience, has around 125 employees and had revenues in 2025 of around ZAR280 million ($17 million). Eventspec's customers are mainly mining companies in South Africa. Epiroc announced on March 9, 2026, that it had agreed to acquire the business of Eventspec. The acquisition will be part of the Equipment & Service Business Area, and booked under the Service revenue stream.

The company reported double-digit revenue growth and operating profit, driven primarily by high demand for mining equipment and exploration solutions. Epiroc Q2 2026 results highlighted a 13% increase in orders to SEK 17.3 billion (about C$2.51 billion) with large orders reaching SEK 720 million (about C$104.5 million), alongside 10% revenue growth to SEK 16.7 billion (about C$2.42 billion) and a 17% rise in operating profit to SEK 3.3 billion (about C$480 million). Adjusted operating profit was SEK 3.35 billion (about C$490 million). "Through our strong local presence and expanding service footprint, we help customers improve productivity and safety while maximizing equipment uptime," said Helena Hedblom, the president and CEO of Epiroc. Epiroc is a Stockholm-based mining innovator advancing automation and electrification worldwide. The company has over 19,000 employees. Epiroc makes changes to group management. Drill rigs, rock excavation machinery and construction tools company Epiroc says they will join its group management and will succeed Nadim Penser, senior vice president brand & communications and human resources, who is retiring after almost 35 years at Epiroc. Ulrika Areskog Lilja will take up her position on November 2, 2026. She has extensive experience leading brand and communications as part of executive leadership teams in large global market-leading companies. Most recently she served as head of brand, marketing and communications at the bank SEB, and previously she served in senior roles at forest industry company Stora Enso and steelmaker SSAB. Katarina Nilsson will serve as SVP people & leadership starting on September 1, 2026. She currently serves as vice president people, leadership & SHEQ at Epiroc's Underground division, and has been with the group since 2023. She also has extensive experience from executive teams in global market-leading companies, serving in legal and human resources roles, and has worked in China for a decade. Before joining Epiroc her roles included serving as general counsel at battery manufacturer Northvolt, and as General Counsel at forest industry company SCA. "I want to thank Nadim for his excellent contributions during his long career with the Group," says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc's president and CEO. "He has been an instrumental part of our success and a valued colleague and member of group management.
