Responsibilities
  • Focus on student re-entries and students’ first 90-day transition back to the college experience, assisting them in overcoming obstacles.
  • Meet re-entry goals and contribute to overall graduation rates.
  • Assist with student retention through supportive services and related efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a bank of student-service assistance options geared to student needs, including referrals to childcare, transportation, and part-time jobs.
  • Lead new-student stitch-in efforts, including weekly stitch-in meetings attended by the new-student committee.
  • Coordinate efforts to assist students who have dropped, are re-entering, or are continuing school.
  • Report regularly on students at risk of withdrawing and on efforts to assist them.
  • Ensure follow-up actions based on student survey results, withdrawal data, and other information to identify root causes of student withdrawals before completion and improve student satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist with daily follow-up on absent students.
  • Participate in Reentry Committee meetings and meet re-entry budgets monthly.
  • Facilitate student workshops, including study skills, note-taking, and solutions for test anxiety.
  • Meet students in person to provide information about resources, the student portal, E-Global library, tutoring, and related services.
  • Communicate one-on-one with students to discuss special topics, training, and coaching.
  • Organize and facilitate community-service opportunities for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Student Services Manager or senior staff.

CHCP provides career-focused education in allied health with certificate and degree programs in clinical and administrative healthcare. It operates nine Texas campuses and a nationwide online program, offering hands-on training with real medical equipment and simulations. Programs can finish in as few as nine months, supported by externships and a job-placement network of over 6,000 employer partners. Accredited by ABHES, CHCP also launched Intelligent Workforce Solutions to upskill healthcare staff for employers, aiming to prepare students for healthcare careers and help employers meet workforce needs.
