Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems
  • Experience working with both relational and documented oriented datastores such as Postgresql, MySql, MariaDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, HBase, etc
  • Solid foundation in computer science, math and/or software engineering
  • Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, relentlessly focused on impact, and able to operate under a great deal of independence
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Have a critical role in building the foundation for product understanding infrastructure that will be used across engineering teams at Wish
  • Work with product managers, data analysts, taxonomists and QA teams, collaborate with different engineering teams to move projects from inception to completion
  • Lead technical design discussions, take complete ownership of large systems and manage technical aspects of relationships with different stakeholders
  • Optimize, monitor and iterate on the architecture and performance of Wish backend systems and machine learning models
