Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Toxicology, Chemistry, Biology or similar.
  • Proven SDS authoring experience is essential.
  • Experience with SDS authoring or experience with product classification.
  • Knowledge about Transport regulation (IATA; ADR, DOT etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to apply toxicology and phys/chem data to the safe handling of chemicals.
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and label recommendations in compliance with relevant global regulations and company policies.
  • Research various regulatory and HES requirements (chemical composition, hazard evaluation, fire protection, handling and storage requirements, selection of PPE, transportation classification, chemical inventory status, etc.).
  • Understand and be familiar with applicable international and national regulations (i.e. GHS, CLP, REACH, OSHA, Whims, HazCom2012).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere and to work independently.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a regulatory or product safety role in the chemicals/biological/pharma industry is highly desirable.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Strong team player.
  • Effective communicator.
