Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Maine Pharmacy Technician license
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
- If not nationally certified, must show evidence of working towards certification within 6 months of hire and obtain certification within 1 year of hire
- One year of hospital pharmacy experience, completion of a pharmacy technician vocational course or be a pharmacy student
- Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures
- Knowledge of medications and medical supplies
- Strong mathematical computation skills
- Knowledge of record-keeping techniques
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Basic understanding of computer technology
- Ability to work as a team member
- Possess good communication skills
- Visual acuity for computer terminals
- Some occasional light lifting

Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Manage inventory and assist with medication stock control.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Support pharmacy operations and maintain accurate records as needed.
