Responsibilities
  • A combination of developmental editor, ghostwriter, data analyst, and author relations contact responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience primarily in romance and all related sub-genres.
  • Storyboarding and collaborating on novel ideation in a writer’s room environment
  • Oversee novel-to-screenplay adaptations, collaborating with freelancers and our in-house GalateaTV team
  • Reading and adapting existing content to improve them and make them more marketable and profitable
  • Dissecting stories and building processes for systematic improvement.
  • Analyzing data and interpreting trends to improve our stories
  • Applying data based learnings creatively to your writing
  • Collaborating with other departments at the company (marketing, product, data science, etc.) as necessary to ensure the best possible product
  • Speaking with our users and getting active feedback from them weekly on how they enjoy the app and our stories so we can improve on them
  • Manage and maintain relationships with a roster of authors from all walks of life and skill level
  • Keep an active pulse on what’s popular and what’s working in the industry
  • Move quickly in a fast paced environment that may require priority shifts and dropping or picking up new assignments
