Responsibilities
  • Create plans and administer programs and activities to solicit gifts from donors through personal solicitations, telemarketing, and mail.
  • Provide administrative and program support to the Director of Annual Giving in coordinating, implementing, and tracking annual giving initiatives, including preparing work plans, procedures, correspondence, reports, and departmental materials.
  • Coordinate direct-mail and email appeals, support online-giving initiatives, maintain campaign information, and assist with stewardship efforts for annual-giving donors and supporters.
  • Assist with alumni and constituent outreach activities, event coordination, and communication efforts while maintaining relationships with donors, prospects, and campus partners.
  • Maintain fundraising records, prepare written communications and reports, coordinate with campus constituencies, and support departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with implementing and adhering to university advancement policies, procedures, and fundraising guidelines by maintaining documentation and supporting consistent processes.
  • Support compliance related to donor communications, gift processing, reporting, and stewardship by following established policies, maintaining records, and assisting with procedure updates.
  • Coordinate timelines, design and prepare materials, track progress, and provide administrative support for special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of advancement projects, donor-engagement initiatives, annual-giving campaigns, events, and other departmental activities.
  • Gather information, prepare reports, coordinate logistics, and assist with project communications and deliverables for cross-functional projects with campus partners and advancement teams.
  • Prepare correspondence and design marketing materials, coordinate outreach efforts, and assist with engagement activities for donors, alumni, campus partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external constituents, provide timely follow-up and information, and support the Director of Annual Giving in fostering university partnerships.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience gained through internships, student employment, volunteer activities, or related work in administrative support, communications, customer service, project coordination, or nonprofit or higher-education environments is preferred.
  • Experience or coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit advancement, higher education, or a related field is preferred.
