Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in fraud mitigation at a payments/fintech company
  • Extensive knowledge of fraud schemes used in transaction banking and credit cards
  • Prior hands-on experience mitigating account takeover, identity theft, and phishing risks
  • Fluency with established and emerging third-party fraud-mitigating tools and platforms
  • Solid understanding of fraud regulations including KYB, AML and BSA, and experience establishing product specific red flags required for compliance
  • Capable of operating in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across a variety of communication styles
  • Extreme intellectual and personal integrity
  • Extreme ownership mentality
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field and prior B2B fraud experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
  • Identify fraud through the customer's lifecycle with Ampla, from initial onboarding and across all our products, mitigate Ampla's exposure, and manage recovery
  • Build fraud analytics team from the ground up, including formulating fraud mitigation strategies, establishing standard operating procedures, and overseeing daily operations
  • Perform in-depth analyses of new and existing clients and provide internal business leaders with recommendations regarding customer onboarding, ratings, and offboarding
  • Conduct quantitative analyses to determine thresholds within which clients can access funds via credit lines and/or deposit accounts
  • Conduct real-time transaction and account monitoring, set up rules and alerts, and implement actionable responses with maximum automation
  • Create, iterate, and own our global KYB risk ratings register
  • Partner with product managers, data analysts, and the engineers to evaluate the efficacy of existing fraud tools, identify data gaps, and improve automation
  • Leverage fraud management vendors and emerging tools to enhance internal processes
