Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical field is required.
  • Five to eight years of experience in electrical engineering, design, and integration within critical power systems, modular infrastructure, or industrial applications is required.
  • Strong experience with UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment integration is required.
  • A solid understanding of power distribution design, protection concepts, and load calculations is required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design tools is required.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, Underwriters Laboratories, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers standards, is required.
  • Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and supporting multidisciplinary system integration is required.
  • The role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills focused on practical, buildable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles in electrical system design is required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The role requires the ability to work in outdoor, indoor, dusty, noisy, hazardous, elevated, tight, and confined environments and in all types of weather.
  • The role requires the ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch; lift and carry specified loads; maintain regular attendance during core business hours; and have reliable transportation.
  • The role requires working knowledge of trade materials and tools.
Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design for assigned modular infrastructure projects, including data centers, power modules, e-houses, and electrical skids.
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts for alternating-current and direct-current systems supporting critical power applications.
  • Design and coordinate integration of building management systems, controls, and auxiliary systems within modular electrical solutions.
  • Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other tools to develop detailed electrical layouts, models, and construction drawings.
  • Select and specify electrical components, including transformers, switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, busway, cable tray, and cable bus systems.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to review vendor submittals, validate technical data, and ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Provide technical input during shop drawing reviews and production builds to ensure constructability and adherence to design standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, Underwriters Laboratories, International Building Code, and International Electrotechnical Commission standards.
  • Support development and application of electrical design standards and best practices to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Lead resolution of electrical design and integration issues during design, prototype, and production phases.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure fully integrated system layouts.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Greater Denver Area and elsewhere in the United States, with travel not anticipated to exceed 10%.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and support workplace safety by reporting hazards and stopping work when unsafe conditions are present.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
