Role Responsibilities:
Provide project management support for each strategic sourcing event. This includes timeline management, preparing key communication and ensuring timely completion of action items.
Manage all up-front data collection and cleansing efforts. This includes developing and validating the scope of work, specifics and requirements, and financial baseline for the strategic sourcing event and building cost breakdown documents
Conduct supplier, industry and market research for assigned categories to assist in sourcing strategy development.
Develop and prepare all sourcing event documentation within Dick’s eSourcing technology. Manage the communication cadence with the suppliers throughout the duration of the strategic sourcing event. This includes training all suppliers on Dick’s eSourcing platform and the eAuction (if applicable) and any additional meetings/presentations pre & post event. Develop accurate, detailed bid analysis at the conclusion of the strategic sourcing event and present to business stakeholders
Assist with supplier negotiations on contracts, pricing, and payment terms which will involve working with legal, finance, risk, and other internal departments
Develop strong working relationships with key business stakeholders and across the Non-Merchandise Procurement team.
Interdepartmental activity (i.e. Staff Meeting, Continuous Improvement, training)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field
Three to five years of experience
Sourcing & procurement exposure, Marketing spend category (preferred), data analytics, prior project management experience, retail experience (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Sourcing & procurement technology (Ariba or equivalent)
PeopleSoft Financials or equivalent
Experience in spend data analytics
Ability to work in a team environment
Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (Preferred)
Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated attention to details and deadlines
