Requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • At least two years of professional work experience with international longitudinal aging survey data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of technical competency with Stata, SAS, or R.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience after the completion of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Sound knowledge of programming and documentation procedures, programming methods, program flow charts, and operator instructions.
  • Knowledge of one or more appropriate computer languages.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, debug, and document code for new harmonization projects.
  • Develop test data and routines required to test and revise applications, ensure applications are thoroughly tested before release, and prepare reports of test results.
  • Work closely with internal and external research groups to advise researchers on analysis strategy, given expertise with international survey data on aging populations.
  • Design analysis variables to answer research questions and communicate findings back to research teams.
  • Prepare extensive documentation for harmonized codebooks in accordance with internal and external standards.
  • Oversee the work of junior programmers and provide guidance and training.
  • Develop datasets, create tables, perform analyses, and participate in producing publications in collaboration with researchers.
  • Attend conferences as a representative of the Gateway to Global Aging Data.
  • Give online and in-person technical presentations and demonstrations highlighting the Gateway to Global Aging Data.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Economics, or a related field is encouraged.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience after the completion of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A Bachelor's degree is listed as preferred education.
  • Three years of preferred experience.
