Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree or two years of technical training in machine tool technology or a related field.
  • Experience programming turning operations, including lathes, multi-turret and spindle lathes, and mill turns.
  • Ability to efficiently set up and operate a wide range of computer numerical control machining centers.
  • Ability to analyze data and present summaries to justify process, tooling, or machine changes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Design Engineering, Machinists, Machine Operators, and Inspection personnel, and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use Excel and enterprise resource planning software to track and monitor consumable items and maintenance frequencies.
  • Ability to select and implement new machine tools, specifically mill-turn equipment using automation for unattended operation.
  • Previous experience in computer numerical control programming.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain computer numerical control programs, set-up instructions, and updates to existing programs using the latest computer-aided manufacturing software.
  • Document tooling and setup procedures to maximize operators’ and machinists’ ability to perform part-to-part changeovers.
  • Lead small projects and groups for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with material, tooling, and machine selection processes to drive continuous improvements and obtain equipment using the latest technology.
  • Serve as the project leader for new equipment selection and implementation, with an emphasis on automation.
Desired Qualifications
  • MasterCAM Mill experience.
  • Ability to use computer-aided design software, specifically SolidWorks, to create computer-aided manufacturing programs.
