Requirements
  • Master’s degree and five years of relevant professional experience, or bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Project management skills and experience such as overseeing timelines, deliverables, and cross-agency collaboration for training programs, pilot initiatives, or stakeholder engagement projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and workforce development, including developing and delivering trainings, coaching staff or peers, and supporting training improvements based on feedback or evaluation data.
  • Demonstrated ability to support work that centers families who have experienced child welfare involvement, systemic barriers, and high levels of need.
  • Demonstrated skills in group process, supervision, shared decision making, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of and direct experience with the development, design, delivery and quality assurance/program evaluation of training.
  • Demonstrated ability to center and elevate lived experience in program design, training, or advocacy roles.
  • Familiarity with Maine’s child welfare system and core family engagement practices.
  • Experience managing or supporting a program budget.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, project management and development, and supervision in collaboration with OCFS to design and implement programs to improve parent engagement in the child welfare system in Maine.
  • Manage project budgets and contribute to contract deliverables.
  • Ensure that the training is of quality that meets relevant federal standards and is consistent with the State agency's law, policies, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with multiple child welfare training teams and staff with lived experience to ensure alignment and shared learning across related efforts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with OCFS policies, kinship and foster care models, or family-centered training initiatives.
