Company Overview:
Relativity is the first and only company to automate aerospace manufacturing by integrating intelligent robotics, software, and proprietary metal 3D printing technology. Disrupting 60 years of aerospace, Relativity offers a radically simplified supply chain, building a rocket with 100x fewer parts in less than 60 days. Our long-term goal is to upgrade humanity’s industrial base on Earth and on Mars.
Team:
The Additive Development team is responsible for developing Relativity’s core additive manufacturing platform upon which Relativity builds it’s Terran 1 and Terran R launch vehicles. The platform consists of multi-disciplinary teams dedicated to developing novel additive processes and robotic and intelligent systems that make up the world‘s largest 3d printers.
What you’ll do:
As the Additive Program Manager, you will drive the execution of our high-level strategy and technical roadmap of Relativity’s Additive Platform to ensure alignment, balanced resource allocation, and risk management across several multi-disciplinary initiatives including:
- Relativity’s Stargate Platform development including Robotic Systems, Design, and Software and integration of additive and subtractive manufacturing capabilities
- Additive process development to meet the needs of the Terran R and Aeon R programs including tracking engineering development articles and flight hardware
- Data Science & Process Simulation
- Materials Engineering, Alloy Design and Supply Chain
- Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Capacity and Capability
- Materials and Process Development and Qualification
- Automated Manufacturing and Operations Research
Your broad technical background in concert with your business knowledge will allow you connect workstreams Relativity’s business needs and promote innovation in service of our vehicle engineering and manufacturing team counterparts, to ensure the Additive program deliverables meet expected performance metrics and timelines. Working with Product and Project Managers, you will strategize when to roll in and integrate new features, capabilities, and technology into the Additive Platform to meet Relativity’s business needs while balancing technical risk.
You will develop and deploy tools and frameworks for aligning teams to their core deliverables, bounding their scope of work, expected timeline, and risk management strategies as you highlight or mitigate any deficiencies or risks to the Additive program as early as possible. Your conflict management and leadership skills will guide multi-disciplinary teams through ambiguous technical decisions and trades to meet Additive program milestones. You will leverage your excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as you will be responsible for communicating progress across our multi-faceted team to adjacent stakeholders and executives.
