As a consultant within the DI team, you will work with our clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap, and design and implement differentiated digital solutions to help deliver measurable value.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- The Proxy/Cloud Proxy and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing web security solutions to protect the organization’s data and network from web-based threats. This role involves integrating and optimizing proxy solutions, ensuring secure web access, and maintaining robust SWG systems to enhance the organization’s web security posture.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and deploy proxy solutions, including traditional and cloud-based proxies (e.g., Zscaler, Blue Coat, Cisco Umbrella).
- Implement Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions to enforce web access policies and protect against web threats.
- Configure and manage URL filtering, content filtering, and web access controls.
- Monitor web traffic and alerts generated by proxy and SWG systems to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Investigate web security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures.
- Work with the Incident Response team to enhance web security detection and response capabilities.
- Develop and enforce web security policies, including acceptable use policies, to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and update policies to adapt to emerging threats and changing business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure policies align with them.
- Integrate proxy and SWG solutions with other security technologies (e.g., SIEM, DLP, CASB) to enhance overall security.
- Optimize the performance and efficiency of proxy and SWG systems.
- Implement automation and orchestration to streamline web security processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users on web security best practices and the use of proxy/SWG systems.
- Assist IT and security teams with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to web access and security.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance with web security policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of proxy and SWG configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, CIPA) regarding web security and data protection.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the effectiveness of web security controls.
- Stay current with the latest web security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
- Continuously improve proxy and SWG solutions and processes through feedback and lessons learned.
- Participate in security research and contribute to the organization’s knowledge base.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing proxy and SWG solutions in a large enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with web security monitoring, incident response, and policy management.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional, Blue Coat Certified Proxy Administrator).
