Responsibilities
  • Perform Quality Control Analyses to verify quality of manufactured polymers in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform Quality Control Analyses to verify quality of raw materials and in-process parameters for pre-polymerization intermediates
  • Record quality data and any adjustment activities accurately and completely in both written and electronic formats utilizing laboratory notebook and SAP database
  • Participate in investigation of non-conforming product and communicate required quality results and observations to Process Chemists and Operations Department
  • Participate in daily Production meeting and weekly Safety meeting
  • Maintain accuracy of analytical equipment by performing routine calibrations once per shift
  • Restock laboratory supplies and chemicals and assist in the inventory management
  • Maintain safety and order of work area through daily housekeeping and weekly inspection activities
  • Manage all chemicals and waste (hazardous and nonhazardous) in accordance with RCRA regulation and the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred analytical instrumentation experience: HPLC, GC, moisture balance, T90 titrator, KF-titrator, refractometer, pH meter, bulk viscometer, centrifuge
  • Previous laboratory experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
