Requirements
  • 10+ years experience working on distributed software systems
  • 6+ years of experience leading teams and managing individual contributors
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to manage conflicts with individuals and teams
  • Deep understanding of best practices and industry standards for performance, encryption, security, scalability, accessibility, and availability in distributed systems
  • Proven ability to influence decisions while respecting individual motivations and business objectives

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain an organization of 3 or more Software Engineering teams
  • Lead the development of Engineering objectives and key results to align and support the business
  • Define and execute on the product and technical roadmaps
  • Guide Engineering Managers through the hiring process
  • Set goals and provide feedback to Engineering Managers
  • Collaboratively set and ensure adherence to Engineering standards and processes
  • Coach teams to prioritize and solve complex problems
