Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have hi-lo experience.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as assigned.
- Must not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.
- Must be willing to work in a cool environment with an average temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, climb, and continuously lift at least 25–50 pounds throughout the day.
- Must follow all company safety rules.
- Must use proper personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Select customer orders for loading.
- Load trailers in a timely manner.
- Document trailer temperatures and fuel levels for all trucks.
- Ensure all loads are secured with load bars and straps.
- Document the time load bars and straps are checked in and out.
- Ensure the cooler and all trailers are clean before loading.
- Pull carts to ensure proper product rotation.
- Ensure the processing department is supplied with empty carts and packaging materials.
- Report all quality and food safety issues to management.
