Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of related work experience are required.
  • Candidates must have knowledge and experience with wall-mount applications such as whiteboards and lockers.
  • Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must understand the product lines and services offered.
  • Candidates must have effective customer service skills.
  • Candidates must be able to follow instructions and department and company policies and procedures.
  • Candidates must maintain safety in the work environment.
  • Candidates must understand and effectively use blueprints.
  • Candidates must provide their own tool set as defined by OpenSquare.
  • Candidates must own or have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Candidates must be able to drive company vehicles; a commercial driver's license is not required.
  • Candidates must have a valid Washington driver's license, a good driving record, and current or unexpired auto insurance.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Candidates must have a basic understanding of manual and power hand tools.
  • Candidates must be able to meet established deadlines.
  • Candidates must be able to multitask, manage time effectively, take ownership of project deliverables, solve problems creatively, and communicate information to stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving, delivery, and installation of furniture at customer sites.
  • Disassemble and reassemble Steelcase and office-systems furniture.
  • Recommend solutions to improve or redesign job sites and customize installations to complete the job.
  • Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, including timesheets and merchandise returns.
  • Properly load and pack trucks for deliveries.
  • Provide backup assistance for warehouse duties as necessary.
  • Follow Operations procedures, policies, and standards of conduct off-site.
  • Coordinate on-site progress and issues with the Operations Lead and Lead Installer.
  • Assist in teaching new installers essential job functions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience installing commercial office furniture is preferred.
  • Knowledge of product lines and services offered is desirable.
