Responsibilities
  • Play an integral role in the overall general ledger month end closing process, with an emphasis on preparation of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and special payroll processing journal entries and corresponding accruals, preparation of payroll bank reconciliations, maintenance of account reconciliations for all payroll and benefits related accounts, allocations of benefits expenses across multiple departments, and supporting account analysis with an emphasis on adhering to deadlines
  • Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliation schedules by reviewing the general ledger activity and obtaining a full understanding of the account activity to support month-end reported balances
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in maintaining the month-end close
  • Review and analyze monthly transactions and investigate variances
  • In-depth understanding of payroll and benefits processes and procedures and how they interact with accounting processes and procedures
  • Partner with the Equity and Payroll teams to ensure equity transactions are processed appropriately by payroll and is reflected correctly in the general ledger, while working closely with the Equity team to resolve discrepancies
  • Stay current on changes to U.S. GAAP such as accounting standards updates and have the ability to evaluate and communicate impact on the company's operational accounting
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Assist in documentation, evaluation and monitoring of internal controls
  • Ad hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as needed
