Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience quality control, ideally in the apparel industry
  • Formal training in quality control methods and best practices
  • Experience working with production or quality in footwear, bags/packs or circular knitting
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Experience working in a diverse, cross-cultural team
Responsibilities
  • Working directly with local and overseas Quality teams to standardize QC expectations and tolerances and inspection methods across vendor base
  • Investigating quality failures, performing root cause analysis and working with QPMs to implement corrective action plans
  • Folding lessons and experiences from day-to-day issue management into a generalized set of standards and expectations that facilitates failure prevention
  • Managing inspection processes domestically and overseas through inspection platform
  • Creating inspection workflows to optimize individual QC efficiencies for specific product types and factories
  • Partnering with local and overseas QC Managers to develop intelligent inspection planning to optimize QC efficiency
  • Working with other QC Specialists, Quality Data Specialist and QC Manager to understand elements of product quality that impact customer satisfaction
  • Partnering with Product Development and Product Integrity to create inspection plans specific to new and existing product types
  • Harmonizing current Quality standards for apparel across new and growing product types
  • Visiting overseas factories and performing Quality Control and process audits
