Requirements
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • Accredited Radiography program preferred
  • Staff Radiology Technologist level minimum of 5 years’ radiology/clinical experience and/or 5 years’ experience preferred in a more advanced operational role within the Imaging department
  • RT must have a Certification by American Registry of Radiologic technologists; Must remain in good standing with the ARRT
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct all compliance functions within the Department of Diagnostic of Imaging to include Joint Commission, State and Federal agencies
  • Monitor and report Patient Safety and Quality activities
  • Oversee radiation badges
  • Organize continuing education for the department
  • Review coding and billing codes, dictated radiology reports, technologist charging and documentation in EPIC in areas for non-compliance
  • Monitor educational professional requirements
  • Assist with revenue cycle activities
  • Follow Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times
