Web Application Developer

We are seeking a talented Web Developer with experience in Department of Defense (DoD) projects, Python, JavaScript, and Jira. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development and a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies.

Position location is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python and JavaScript. 
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability. 
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. 
• Utilize Jira for project management and tracking. 
• Apply DoD standards and protocols to ensure compliance and security.

Required Skills & Experience

• Clearance Required: Secret. This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
• 5+ years experience.
• Proven experience as a Web Developer with expertise in Python and JavaScript. 
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. 
• Experience with back-end development, including RESTful APIs and database management. 
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
• Proficiency in using Jira for project management. 
• A passion for learning and staying current with industry trends. 

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Experience with DoD projects is highly desirable.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies. 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. 
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
