Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience working in a global organization within the field of Total Rewards.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience managing pay and bonus programs, preferably within the global financial services sector.
  • In-depth experience with benefits plan strategy, including the development, design, compliance, management, and administration of benefits programs in the EMEA region, preferably within the global financial services sector.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and comfort working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings.
  • A customer-service orientation with the ability to serve multiple customers, including employees, managers, and Human Resources, in situations involving conflicting interests between groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with all organizational levels, influence decision-makers, set and manage expectations, and translate data findings into clear and concise documents and presentations.
  • Strong cross-cultural awareness, sensitivity, and a high level of confidentiality.
  • The ability to exercise problem-solving skills and independent judgment using analytical and consulting skills.
  • Solid project-management skills, including developing project plans, scoping work, and ensuring execution and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business leaders and Human Resources partners on compensation matters for assigned business groups.
  • Provide insights into market trends and their impact on the region and supported business areas.
  • Oversee EMEA compensation compliance processes and serve as the subject-matter expert on regional regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and competitive analyses and share findings internally to support competitive compensation structures and pay levels.
  • Advise on compensation levels for new hires, including conducting and presenting supporting analyses.
  • Partner with the Global Compensation team to design, manage, and administer base-pay and corporate-bonus programs, including supporting the annual compensation review cycle.
  • Lead and support ad hoc compensation projects, including deep-dive analyses and developing compensation structures for new roles or business areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop compensation procedures, analytics, and reporting, including preparing materials for Compensation Committees.
  • Participate in industry forums and networks to stay current on market trends, practices, and costs and help keep firm policies aligned with external developments.
  • Oversee the development and administration of benefits programs in the EMEA region and partner with the Global Benefits team to implement new strategies.
  • Review proposed strategies affecting the EMEA region and provide feedback based on regional expertise.
  • Recommend and implement changes to current practices based on local market trends to keep the regional office competitive.
  • Attend payroll, Human Resources, and benefits team meetings regularly to stay informed about issues affecting Total Rewards.
  • Build reports with EMEA Heads of Office to support alignment on Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Network with internal and external peers to enhance program design and administration and seek ad hoc solutions and advice.
  • Provide and be responsible for a high standard of advice, guidance, and support to senior business managers regarding benefits programs.
  • Partner with regional and global Human Resources business partners to ensure timely and effective communication and implementation of Human Resources strategy, policies, and practices.

Clay raises funding at $7B valuation, more than doubling in a year

Clay, a New York-based startup selling AI tools for sales and marketing teams, has agreed to a new funding round led by Wellington Management at a $7 billion pre-money valuation, Axios reported on 31 August. The round's exact size has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether it has fully closed. The valuation marks Clay's third jump in about a year, up from $3.1 billion in August 2025 and $5 billion in a January 2026 employee tender offer led by DST Global. The company was founded in 2017 by Kareem Amin and Nicolae Rusan. Clay markets itself as a go-to-market platform that pulls data from over 150 external sources and uses AI agents to research prospects and personalise outbound sales messages. Its customers reportedly include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Canva.

Avere Therapeutics raises $500M to advance once-weekly oral IL-23 therapy AVR-001

Avere Therapeutics announced a $500 million private placement to advance AVR-001, its once-weekly oral IL-23 receptor antagonist for inflammatory diseases. Leading healthcare investors including Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, General Atlantic, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and Wellington Management participated in the funding round. Combined with a previously announced $320 million concurrent private investment, the proceeds will fully fund Avere's operations through 2029. Tarsus Pharmaceuticals raises $125M in oversubscribed PIPE financing to fund Alkeus acquisition

Tarsus Pharmaceuticals has secured $125 million through an oversubscribed private placement equity financing. The transaction includes participation from investors in Alkeus Pharmaceuticals, which Tarsus announced it would acquire earlier the same day.
