Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building and shipping AI/ML-driven personalization products at scale with teams of full-stack engineers, designers, and data scientists.
  • Deep understanding of search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), personalization algorithms, and machine learning models. Ability to engage in technical discussions and understand architectural trade-offs.
  • Proven track record with making data-informed decisions, experimentation-driven decision-making, data analysis, and defining metrics.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and a collaborative mindset; skilled at partnering with direct and cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, achieving consensus, and driving impactful results.
  • Experience delivering products end-to-end that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, UX/UI, usability, and user experience mapping.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Search & Personalization.
  • Partner closely with engineering and data science teams to ship products and features that enhance user engagement, improve the user’s search experience, and drive value through deeply personalized experiences.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product requirements and prioritize them effectively.
  • Design and implement A/B tests and multivariate experiments to improve key metrics such as activation rates, user engagement, and retention.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, presenting findings and driving consensus on experimentation priorities.
  • Partner with design to create intuitive user experiences that make discovery seamless and enjoyable.
  • Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct user research and analyze behavioral data to deeply understand user needs and inform product decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy, goals, and updates to stakeholders across the organization, including leadership.
  • Analyze experiment results, draw actionable insights, and make recommendations for product enhancements and iterations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to keep Splice at the forefront of Search & Personalization innovation.

This acquisition marks Splice's entry into the $640 million plugin sector and aligns with its subscription and rent-to-own businesses.
