Requirements
  • Hands on experience in US benefits administration in a complex, multi-state organization
  • Ability to listen well, comprehend and analyze situations
  • Resourcefulness, in research and problem solving

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA , ADA and state leave requirements

  • Proficiency with HRIS benefits modules; experience with UKG a plus
  • Self is a fully hybrid work culture. Our HR team works together in the office at least one day a week, so we're looking for someone based in the Austin, TX area to join us
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Eight+ years of experience administering benefits programs in growing, complex businesses required
  • CEBS, CBP, PHR certification helpful
  • Experience with UKG Ready preferred
Responsibilities
  • Own the administration of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability programs, health and flexible savings accounts, 401(k) and any other benefits offerings
  • Respond to employee HR benefits inquiries in a professional and timely manner, providing information and assistance
  • Verify insurance billing and audit reconciliation of carrier reports, benefit accounts and disbursements
  • Maintain, manage, and produce records, reporting, compliance, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies
  • Fully manage the annual open enrollment process, including plan implementation/changes and the development/distribution of communication materials
  • Act as a liaison with benefits brokers, vendors, insurance carriers, to ensure proper administration of the plan
  • Assist with communicating benefit plans and programs, policy features, enrollment and other requirements to employees to ensure understanding
  • Tracking and coordination of all Leaves of Absences (FMLA, ADA, Parental etc)
  • Manage the 401k annual audit, non-discrimination testing, and 5500 process
  • Assess programs for opportunities on enhancement and efficiencies
