The deal involves Skydance acquiring National Amusements for $2.4 billion (¥175 billion) and merging with Paramount. Skydance will own 100% of Paramount's A-class shares and 69% of B-class shares. The merger aims to enhance Paramount's storytelling capabilities and cut $2 billion in annual costs. The deal is expected to complete by Q3 2025, pending regulatory approval.
