Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.
Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed.
  • Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning.
  • Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings.
  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events.
  • Implement behavioral support strategies and use de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well-rounded care.
  • Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities.
