AUMOVIO has agreed to sell its Czech washer and cleaning business to Munich-based CERTINA Group as part of ongoing portfolio streamlining. The deal, announced on 3 September, covers production, R&D, employees and all related activities at the Adrspach headquarters, which employs around 700 people. Financial terms were not disclosed. The business manufactures cleaning systems including window washers and camera, sensor and headlamp cleaning systems. Closing is expected by end-2026, subject to customary conditions. CERTINA will integrate the unit into its automotive platform, which generates around €600m annually. The disposal follows AUMOVIO's sale of its Belgian Mechelen site and plans to cut up to 4,000 jobs globally by end-2026. AUMOVIO reported first-half 2026 sales of €8.65bn, down 9.4% year-on-year, with a net loss of €597m.
AUMOVIO India to set up vehicle testing facility at NATRAX. AUMOVIO's new facility at NATRAX will expand its local testing capacity for brake systems and ADAS technologies, supporting shorter vehicle development cycles in India. AUMOVIO India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) to establish a vehicle testing facility at NATRAX's premises in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The facility, which is expected to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2027, will include a workshop, technical and storage areas, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The workshop will be able to accommodate up to 15 vehicles and will be used for installing and preparing brake systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) before testing. The facility is being established as AUMOVIO India expands its brake system projects in the country and seeks to reduce vehicle development and testing timelines. The company currently carries out vehicle testing at customer test tracks in India and at its own facilities in other countries. The new workshop will support testing and tuning of brake and vehicle safety systems, including anti-lock braking systems (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), automatic emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control (ACC). It will also allow AUMOVIO teams to prepare both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles for testing at NATRAX. The facility's proximity to the NATRAX test tracks is expected to enable quicker changes to vehicles and testing setups during development programmes. Prashanth Doreswamy, CEO and President, AUMOVIO India, said the increase in brake system projects and shorter development timelines had created a need to expand the company's vehicle testing capabilities in India. The company said the facility would form part of its efforts to expand local engineering and testing capabilities and support projects for Indian vehicle manufacturers from within the country.
