Requirements
  • A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline is required.
  • A strong research and publication background is required, with evidence of contributing to academic two-star journals or above, conferences, or professional publications.
  • Fellowship of Advance HE is required, or must be achieved within 12 months of appointment.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate modules in at least one of Network Fundamentals, Organisation and Architecture, Mathematics, Programming, Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Databases and Web Integration is required.
  • Experience teaching postgraduate modules in at least one of Autonomic Intelligent Systems, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Semantic Web, Software Development, or Web and Network Services is required.
  • Successful applicants must complete a country-specific criminal background check, provide two references, and complete identity, right-to-work, and education verification checks.
Responsibilities
  • Design teaching material and deliver it across a range of modules or within a subject area using appropriate teaching, learning support, and assessment methods to ensure student progress.
  • Design, mark, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments, providing opportunities for students to improve.
  • Plan, design, and develop learning outcomes and materials within the subject team.
  • Contribute to the revision and improvement of curriculum content and delivery.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress and complete associated academic administration.
  • Act as a personal tutor, offering support or signposting students as required.
  • Develop an active research record, secure appropriate publications or other recognised outputs, and engage in subject, professional, and pedagogical research and scholarship.
  • Coordinate and lead small modules in the subject area, with support, to ensure student expectations are met.
  • Participate in and develop external networks.
  • Contribute to internal and external quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to recruitment activities, including webinars and taster lectures.
  • Participate in team, departmental, and school meetings and committees.
  • Implement the university’s and Study Group’s policies and regulations within the remit of the role.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by or agreed with the Head of School or other Senior Leadership Team members.

Study Group runs International Study Centres on partner university campuses to prepare international students for degree study. Its programs combine English language courses with pathway programs that build language and academic skills for university admission. Unlike standalone language schools, its centres are integrated with universities and tied to degree pathways, expanding access through a global network of partner campuses. Its goal is to help international students gain admission to degrees by providing integrated language and academic preparation within partner university networks.

KSH International raises ₹213cr from anchor investors ahead of ₹710cr IPO

KSH International Limited, India's third-largest magnet winding wire manufacturer by production capacity, has raised Rs 213 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering opening on 16 December. The company allocated 55.47 lakh equity shares at Rs 384 per share to anchor investors. Participants included HSBC Global Investment Funds, Societe Generale, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance and Edelweiss Life Insurance. Amongst mutual funds, HDFC, Kotak, LIC and Bank of Baroda schemes received allocations. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of Rs 420 crore and an offer-for-sale of Rs 290 crore by promoters, totalling Rs 710 crore at the upper price band. Founded in 1981, the company is also India's largest exporter of magnet winding wires by revenue. ICICI Securities and Nuvama Wealth Management are managing the offer.

Study Group has signed a new student recruitment partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Stout, adding a 13th U.S. institution to its portfolio. The agreement will see Study Group support international recruitment for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
