Requirements
  • One to two years of sales experience supporting large, assigned customers.
  • Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, prioritize, and deal with ambiguity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work in multiple systems and applications.
  • Must be eligible for an export license or be a U.S. Person, including U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
Responsibilities
  • Manage customer relationships.
  • Coordinate resources and process customer quotations for specified customers.
  • Prepare orders.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and accountability of supply-chain engagements.
  • Negotiate non-contract pricing, provide quote markups, own the cost-plus-markup strategy and application, notify customers of related price increases, and maintain margin integrity.
  • Work with supplier contacts and internal departments to solve pre-sales and post-sales problems.
  • Handle local expediting and assist global opportunities through local escalation.
  • Proactively notify customers of delivery-status changes, conduct bond reviews with customers, manage slow-moving inventory and non-cancellable, non-returnable customer conversations, own hard and planned order management, coordinate product-change notifications, and deliver and maintain the Perfect Order Index through on-time delivery and end-to-end order quality.
  • Support the sales team through direct customer contact for the Order to Invoice process within Planned Demand.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Industry experience with a distributor or supplier is a plus.
  • Aerospace and Defense experience is preferred.

Arrow Electronics appoints Deidra Merriwether as president and COO

Arrow Electronics has appointed Deidra C. Merriwether as president and chief operating officer, effective 8 September 2026. She will report to interim chief executive officer William F. Austen and lead the company's global business segments and logistics organisations. Merriwether joins from W.W. Grainger, where she served as senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2021. Previously, she held various positions at W.W. Grainger since 2013, including senior vice president and president of North American sales and services. From 2002 to 2013, she worked at Sears Holdings Corporation, departing as chief operating officer of retail formats. She holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and serves on the board of Weyerhaeuser Company.

Arrow Electronics reports record $10B revenue, EPS surges 124% to $5.45

Arrow Electronics reported record second-quarter results for 2026, with total revenue reaching $10 billion, up 32% year-over-year. Non-GAAP earnings per share surged 124% to $5.45, whilst operating margin expanded 120 basis points to 4%. The company's Global Components segment generated $7.4 billion in sales, up 11% sequentially, with operating margin of 5.4%. Global ECS sales reached $2.6 billion, increasing 14% year-over-year. Arrow's book-to-bill ratios remained above parity, with backlog extending into 2027. Growth was broad-based across aerospace, defence, industrial, and transportation sectors. The company improved its balance sheet, reducing gross debt by $300 million sequentially to $2.2 billion. Operating cash flow totalled $318 million for the quarter. For the third quarter of 2026, Arrow expects sales between $9.6 billion and $10.2 billion, with non-GAAP EPS ranging from $4.83 to $5.03.
