Job Description
As an Identity and Access Management Specialist with OMES you will enjoy:

- Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
- Support the Information Services Division/CyberCommand Team.
- Salary is based on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Process access provisioning requests, such as adding, modifying, and deleting user and group accounts within active directory and exchange.
- Administer the day-to-day activities of Security Provisioning to ensure communication of time-critical information and to maintain consistent customer service levels, as well as the security posture of the States IT assets.
- Answer incoming calls and provide support to customers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve access related issues.
- Review work processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for efficiency and enhanced security.
- Drive compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Document appropriate detail in request tickets and tracking systems.
- Apply an understanding of technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment, to independently research and resolve related issues.
- Provide customer support to resolve access related issues.
- Provide after-hours on-call customer support as needed.
- Facilitate timely, accurate, and complete administration/processing of end-user provisioning requests.
- Address compliance requirements associated with end-user provisioning, including monitoring and processing of users that have been inactive, separated or transferred.
- Meet the agencies expected service level agreement targets.
- Update case notes with the current status of cases.
- Create and manage file server permissions.
- Provide agency user count information for Master Service Agreements.
- Distribute monthly non-use reports.
- Maintain and update service provider lists.
- Conduct security research in keeping abreast of the latest security issues.
- Maintain confidential information and demonstrates tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Work closely with the IT Security Team to ensure adherence to security requirements.
- Automation of routine, repetitive tasks via scripting and remote deployment methods.
- Research and resolve a wide variety of technical issues and participate/lead problem resolution efforts.
- Identifies opportunities to improve IT services and, in collaboration with the team, executes on those opportunities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Create, document, and follow testing standards using industry best practices.
- Follow standard change control processes.
- Helps lead research and develop new technology, tools, and scripts to support desktop computing and the end-user desktop experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two semesters of college credit toward an IT-related degree field; OR
- One year of experience in an IT-related job field or security certification; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess
- Security experience is desirable or any security certification.
- Experience in Active Directory tools and systems in an enterprise environment.
- Additional experience with writing automated scripts using Windows PowerShell.
- Have the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
- Background in Cybersecurity knowledge or has a strong desire to obtain security certificates.
- Able to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details.
- Understanding of Active Directory; including replication, GPO, and DNS.
