Requirements
  • First experience in operations, duty-roster, or transport planning in rail transport is desirable.
  • Training or university study in transport, transportation, logistics, or a comparable field is desirable.
  • A good technical and commercial understanding is required to grasp complex relationships and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • A structured working approach, sense of responsibility, and hands-on mentality are required.
  • Familiarity with planning software such as TPN, FBS, IVU, WILSON, or comparable systems is required, or the motivation to learn them quickly.
  • Very good German language skills at C1 level and confident use of Microsoft Office are required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan the FlixTrain offering throughout the year, particularly efficient duty rosters for train staff such as locomotive drivers, train managers, and train assistants for regular and special timetables.
  • Handle short-notice special services and changes, including short-notice transfers of locomotives and carriages and special trips.
  • Develop regular and special timetables while considering operational specifications and legal requirements.
  • Develop economically viable solutions during construction work and operational restrictions, including short- and long-term timetable concepts.
  • Coordinate train paths, service facilities, workshop capacities, and operational resources with internal and external partners.
  • Analyze ongoing operations to identify optimization potential and contribute findings to the continuous improvement of processes.
