Requirements
  • An active Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a senior systems engineer supporting a Department of Defense program of similar size and scope ($40 million to $50 million, 35 to 40 personnel) is required.
  • A minimum of five years of hands-on professional experience as a data center engineer working with software-defined wide area network or hyperconverged infrastructure for a program or project of similar size and scope ($40 million to $50 million, 35 to 40 personnel) is required.
  • Five plus years of experience in systems engineering, with at least three years focused hands-on experience on virtualization technologies is required.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major hypervisor platform (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV) is required.
  • A strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including compute, storage, and networking in virtualized environments is required.
  • Proficiency in system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in enterprise information technology environments is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders are required.
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.) is required.
Responsibilities
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Nutanix hypervisor environments to support mission applications and services.
  • Performing system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Providing advanced technical support for Nutanix-related issues, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Applying patches, updates, and security configurations to Nutanix systems in accordance with best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement virtualization solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Documenting system configurations, processes, and procedures for operational continuity.
  • Staying current with industry trends and advancements in hypervisor technologies to recommend improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Nutanix AHV hypervisor installation, configuration, and management is desirable.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with Government cloud platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for infrastructure management is desirable.
